  • Earlier this week, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) met with the Northfield City Council. They discussed proposals submitted by firms interested in providing Master Plan Services for the proposed business park. The EDA received 24 proposals. They’re currently evaluating the merits of each proposal submitted. Mayor Mary Rossing says the purpose of the business park project is to help set up economic stability for Northfield in the coming 50 years.
  • Electronic audio books are coming to the Northfield Library. They’ll allow users to listen to books on the go and they can be checked out from the library—or from a personal computer via the library’s web site—northfieldmn.info. That means more than 1,000 titles will be available for users to download to their computers or portable devices that support Windows Media Player version 11 or above. Users can check out up to 10 audiobooks at a time—and they ebooks are automatically returned to the library at the end of the checkout period. All Northfield Public Library cardholders will be able to check out audiobook titles.
