Wayne Eddy had Doug Peterson in today on his show, better known in Northfield as “Puppet Peterson”. Doug performed around 10,800 thirty minute developmental puppet shows over 18 years for K-6 students. He averaged 1,400 students per year. Most students would see him 84 times over 7 years. Doug has been a wonderful blessing to our community over the years and we thank him for his genuine love and care for the children in Northfield Schools.
If you were one that got to enjoy Snoopy, Duso, Chilly Willy and Puff the Magic Dragon, you’ll just love re-visiting old friends. There is an abundance of great material here. Listen to 2 hours of personal discussion with him and Wayne, watch 4 videos of him working with the puppets and a photo gallery of his material.

Mr. Peterson was a teacher of mine back-in-the-day at GVP Elementary and I greatly enjoyed his class! How could I forget Duso the Dolphin?! Missed his interview , though look forward to listening it in the KYMN Archive!
