UPDATE……4:44 PM…….Northfield police are looking for a suspect in a shooting today, that has left one man injured. Police Chief Mark Taylor says 26-year-old Joshua Barron is suspected of shooting a man and then fleeing in a silver 2006 Chevy Silverado with the license plate UER 539. At around 1:00 this afternoon, police responded to a call of a shooting. They found the victim in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Highway 3 just North of town. According to Chief Taylor the actual shooting, however, occurred outside a residence on Dresden Drive, the result of a domestic dispute. It was when the victim attempted to leave the residence on Dresden that the suspect got a rifle out of a pick-up and opened fire on the victim. Chief Taylor says it appears 4 shots were fired, with one striking the victim in the shoulder area.  The victim was taken to Northfield Hospital and then transported to HCMC. If you have any information on this incident, you’re asked to call the Northfield police tip line at 663-9494. KYMN will have continuing coverage as there are developments.
