Paula’s Guest/Topic this week: Paula’s guests today celebrate the second annual Vintage Band Music Festival in Northfield, Minnesota from Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8. Paul Niemisto, artistic director and creator of the Vintage Brand Festival and Dan Bergeson, board vice president and publicity chair shared the story of the Vintage Band Music Festival. This incredible festival is 50% bigger than the 2006 Festival and 25 bands will hold over 100 performances over the four day festival. The music played at the Vintage Band Festival ranges from baroque-era Europe to Civil War and other 19th century marches and ballads, to New Orleans jazz, alphorns, and a mariachi band.
