36-year-old Michelle Holmes of Northfield died due to injuries from an auto accident on Tuesday. Michelle was a wife and mother with a variety of interests and a passion for life. Michelle Muench, a doctor at Northfield Hospital, became friends with Holmes about five years ago when the two met through a new moms network. She says Holmes lived life to the fullest and didn’t waste a moment. Muench says Holmes was an optimist and a good friend, the type that makes you want to be a better person. Muench also says Holmes was also a great mother who did everything possible to provide for son Evan. Michelle Holmes was also very involved in yoga and promoted healthy eating and organic foods. Muench says the family is holding up as well as can be expected and have each other for support. A family pet also died in Tuesday’s accident, and another, a sheltie, named Tea who was missing after the accident was found Wednesday and returned home. The funeral service for Michelle Holmes will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 1:00 at the Community Hope Church in Rosemount.
