Paula’s Guest/Topic this week: Paula’s guest today is Carla Thompson, visual artist and manager of the Northfield Arts Guild Shop. Carla studied fine art and graphic design at St. Cloud State University and graduated with a graphic design major from Bemidji State University. Her whimsical style incorporates bright colors, words, humor and simple thoughts on life.

Northfield Arts Guild Shop: The renovated and re-imagined Arts Guild Shop at 304 Division Street South in downtown Northfield has new artists and a whole new look! You’ll find paintings, photographs, prints, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and much more all made by exceptional local and regional artists. Visit the Shop inside of the Northfield Arts Guild downtown location or stop by the website: northfieldartsguild.org and click on the Gift Shop at the bottom of the menu to see pictures, read a list of the artists, or get information about having your work in the Arts Guild Shop. Shop Hours are 10am – 5 pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday 11 am – 3 pm.

    Paula, thanks for the very complimentary words on my photos at the Arts Guild Shop! As a new, emerging artist, I was just thrilled to hear my name. It is a privilege to be shown in the shop, and to be mentioned on your show.
