The Sogn Valley Craft Fair is a juried show located on a farmstead in the Sogn Valley just outside of Cannon Falls. There will be over 25 artists, great food, and music all in the most glorious fall setting you could imagine. This is the 38th year of the fair! This is truly a great Minnesota art show and fall festival.
Paula’s second guests today are Fred Somers, visual artist and Beth Kallestad, Executive Director of the Cannon River Watershed Partnership.
Fred Somers is the 2009 Winner of the Prix de Pastel award from International Association of Pastel Societies and the 2009 The Artists’ Magazine First Place Award in Abstract Division. He has been a full-time painter since 1975. He is known for his pastel and oil paintings of nature. On his website, fredericksomers.com, he says, ” I seek to bring to others an experience of the beauty of light as it bathes creation and to point them to a pathway that reaches into eternity.” He is a beautiful spirit with a keen eye for seeing nature.
