Today’s news update |Parmeadow Pond being drained to determine erosion damage

The City of Northfield Public Works Department is in the process of draining the middle of the three
Parmeadow Ponds north off Woodley Street. The purpose of doing so is to more accurately assess the erosion damage done to abutting properties during the storms of mid-June, to better determine what measures should be taken to both repair that damage, and what must be done in an effort to prevent similar damage in the future. At some point later this summer, the normal pond levels will be restored, depending on when arrangements can be made to complete the necessary repairs.

Questions may be forwarded to Joe Stapf, P.E., Public Works Director/City Engineer, at 507-645-3006, or
