“Girl Meets Bike” looking for cash
Last year, Minneapolis filmmaker and former Carleton College film teacher, Eric Tretbar, shot his new film “Girl Meets Bike” in Northfield. Tretbar says former students and locals really got involved including KYMN’s Jessica Paxton who was the Line Producer. Tretbar said “she was like having the Golden Key to the city”. He noted how the town really opened up for his crew. The story is about a female Northfield High School shop teacher who buys her first motorcycle with her wedding dress money. Then off she goes on a summer adventure. This summer, Tretbar is raising funds to complete the film and start sales. He’s doing this with social media and a program called KICKSTARTER. Kickstarter is a way for independent artists to fund their projects via those who are interested in what they’re creating. The pledging runs through Aug. 9. Click on Kickstarter for Girl Meets Bike.
