Paula’s guest today is writer Mary Steil. She will host a “Writing Store” at the Riverwalk Market Fair this Saturday, 4 August from 9AM to 1PM. Inspired to “bring writing into the open,” she will write extemporaneously upon request. The price is just 25 cents for a poem and 50 cents for a short short story. Each customer will provide three words as inspiration and Mary will create the piece on the spot.
Riverwalk Market Fair is a one-of-a-kind open-air market that runs every Saturday from June through October in historic Northfield. Each Saturday features a different combination of organic and sustainably grown produce from local farmers, artisan foods including breakfast pastries and desserts, seasonal flowers and a juried selection of the region’s top artists including ceramics, watercolors, oil, acrylic and mixed media paintings, prints, photography, glasswork, textiles, wearable art, garden sculpture and hand-crafted jewelry. After October 27 the fair moves indoors and continues through December.
