Paula’s guest today is potter and ceramic artist Glynnis Lessing. She recently moved to Northfield from Chicago where she taught for the last 24 years at Lill Street and for Art Resources in Teaching, and various other outreach programs. She has a BFA from the University of Minnesota and is a working potter selling her work at art fairs and galleries. She primarily creates sgraffito on thrown porcelain. The Northfield Arts Guild popular Arts Fair is held in the heart of downtown Northfield. 60 artists and fine craft artisans will show their work on the stone walkways hugging both sides of the Cannon River. As always, the Festival coincides with the Defeat of Jesse James Days celebration, which brings crowds of 150,000 each year. Find wonderful photography, pottery, paintings, fiber art, jewelry and more by artists from all over Minnesota and the region.
Venue: Along both sides of the Cannon River behind the Northfield Arts Guild Center for the Arts, downtown Northfield

What a rewarding experience it was to to be able hear my creative niece Glynnis Lessing being interviewed by Ms. Granquist. Our home here in Hastings on Hudson, NY is loaded with her beautiful work which we use every day.
