Hi everyone. A few months ago I started producing and airing a daily two minute audio segment on KYMN Radio that breaks down a basic technology topic each day. I wanted it to be brief, simple, yet very helpful. My list of topics range from the basic “making a good password” to a weekly smartphone app review.
So, I invite you to take a listen to a few on this growing list of topics and if you like, share with a friend. These air live on the radio weekday mornings at 8:35am after the local news update and then at 12:15pm after state news.
Here’s a recap of last weeks topics.
Web Log = bLog. Thinking about starting your very own web blog? There are many great sites out there to start with. Here are a bunch of them to check out.
There are hundreds of apps out there for exercising, but this one used many of the high-tech features of a smart phone to assist you. It talks to you, maps your route, keeps track of your progress and even emails you results. It’s RunKeeper.
Don’t ever use Microsoft Office Suite again. Google Docs replaces it for free, and its everywhere in the cloud.
You absolutely should have a screen shot tool on hand at all times to effectively communicate on the web. Share bits of your screen in a flash with http://gyazo.com/
Get those older family members on record. Here’s a tip on getting a hand held recorder and how to edit the audio for archiving and sharing.
