Here are the details about each of the events:
Sogn Valley Craft Fair
2012 marks our 40th year bringing fine crafts, art, and local and artisinal foods to a beautiful country setting. A trip to the Sogn Valley Craft Fair is a chance to both shop for excellent artwork and crafts AND get away to the country–but not too far.
The Sogn Valley Craft Fair is free! No admission fee and no parking fee.
Saturday, October 6th, 10 am- 5 pm
Sunday, October 7th, 10 am-5 pm
South Central Minnesota Studio ArTour
The Studio ArTour is a co-operative venture among a group of artists in Cannon Falls, Northfield and Faribault. This is the eighth year we have put on the tour. We open our studios to the public on the third weekend in October each year, and invite you to come out and see where and how we work. Whether you are a long time collector or are just looking for something unique, the studio tour is a perfect way to shop for fine art, and best of all the tour is free!

Back to the Blackboard: Weitz Center Chalk Slam
Celebrate historical blackboards and contemporary art and learning with a community drawing fest. Humble blackboards, an essential feature of classrooms past, come alive at the Weitz Center for Creativity as students, professors, mathematicians, Minnesota artists, and community organizations draw, doodle, and calculate, creating temporary compositions in honor of decades of learning by blackboard at the former Northfield Middle School.
