Candidate interview series on KYMN – Kevin Dahle and David Bly

He’s been in Northfield for 20 years and is the High School civics teacher.  He served in the Minnesota Senate for 3 years but lost out in the 2010 election.   He feels that many problems in the legislature have not been addressed.  In particular, the budget and what to do with it.  He says we can’t cut our way out of the situation nor tax our way out but would consider a sales tax for online sales.  Healthcare reform is also high on his priority list.

House district 20b representative candidate David Bly was also in studio this morning.  He has spent many years as a teacher in various schools and ended up back in Northfield at the now-named Area Learning Center.  It was during that time that he became involved in the political arena as an advocate.  He spent 2 terms as House representative for District 25b.  Budget is top of mind and he believes in a balance.  He would also be willing to talk about raising sales taxes.  Other priorities for him include healthcare reform and green energy.   All the interviews will be posted and archived online at kymnradio.net.
