The Northfield Police Department has a lot to be proud of and today they recognized a number of officers and reserves for their efforts. City Hall was crowded with officers there in support of their brothers and sisters in blue. Interim Police Chief Chuck Walerius handed out the awards.

Officer Jesse Cordova – Plaque of Appreciation from the Rice County Drug Task Force
Sergeant Thad Monroe, Officers Bart Wiese, Brian Kramer and Jeff Gigstad and Investigator P.T. Haider – Letters of recognition for their work on the December robbery at an ATM and the beating and robbery near Bridge Square in January.
Investigative Sergeant Monte Nelson – Letter of Recognition for armed robbery and search for Josh Bohlen
Officer Mark Dukatz - Office Commendation – he was the Officer who arrested the armed robbery suspect who is accused of robbing the America’s Best Value Inn and has now been charged in federal court for multiple armed robberies .
