Rice Co Hist. Soc.Rice County Historical Society Celebrates its 90th Anniversary at the Rice County Fair

Area residents turning 90 or 90-plus years in 2016 are invited to a reception during the Rice County Fair to help the Rice County Historical Society celebrate its 90th anniversary.

The event is 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21 in the new Carlander Family Room at the Rice County Historical Society, 1814 NW Second Ave. Present and former RCHS Board members and volunteers are welcome, along with family or friends of those turning 90 or 90-plus this year and attending the event.

The Rice County Historical Society organized in March 1926 and adopted its by-laws to legally formalize the organization on Nov. 10, 1926. With that in mind, officials of the RCHS would like to honor all who were born that year – plus those born in the years prior to its formation, so it is holding a birthday party for those 90 and older as it celebrates the society’s 90th birthday.

For further information please contact the Rice County Historical Society at 507-332-2121 or rchs@rchistory.org.
