Concrete Crews will be on-site Tuesday August 9th, 2016 to begin pouring the new concrete street section on Phase 1 and Phase 2A of the Woodley Street Reconstruction Project. Phase 1 and Phase 2A included Woodley Street from Prairie Street to Maple Street. As part of the construction process, crews must “Green Saw” the new pavement within 12 hours of placement. Green sawing operations are expected to last into the overnight and early morning hours Wednesday August 10th, 2016.

Ryan Contracting of Elko, MN is the prime contractor for the $3.5 million project.  The City of Northfield urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
