News update – Medical Examiner releases manner of death and cause in the death of Lilly Kirckof

NPD-Badge-105x150Updated Press Release Northfield August 14th , Shooting/Death Investigation of Lilly Kirckof

August 26, 2016, 3:30 p.m.

The Northfield Police Department is providing additional information to the public regarding this shooting death. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has released preliminary autopsy information on this case. Public Manner of Death was ruled as Homicide, and Public Cause of Death was listed as Multiple Gunshot Wounds. At this time, Self-Defense cannot be ruled out as the cause of the shooting. Investigation will continue with the combined efforts of the MN BCA and the Northfield Police Department. It may take well over a month for all the evidence to be examined and evaluated.
