Saturday, 15 October • 10AM – 6PM
Sunday, 16 October • 10AM – 5PM
SOME STUDIOS: FRIDAY, OCT 14 • 4 – 8PM

ARTOUR REGION: FARMINGTON, NORTHFIELD & FARIBAULT
21 studios / 40 artists

The Studio ARTour is a co-operative venture among a group of artists. We open our studios to the public and invite you to come out and see where and how we work. Most studios have several artists working in different media. The artists are glad to answer questions and provide information about the art. Some studios have demonstrations.

The range of work is amazing; weaving to welding, glass to gemstones, clay to carving – and paper in between. Whether you are a long-time collector, or are just looking for something unique, the studio tour is a perfect way to shop for fine art, and best of all the tour is free!

David Allen – Studio ArTour #12
He is a visual artist who paints his surroundings in Northfield including iconic buildings downtown and at both St. Olaf College and Carleton College. He also adds doodle shapes into paintings and creates metal, copper and brass sculptures of people, including Don Quixote.

Fred Somers – Studio ArTour #8
He is a visual artist recognized for his paintings of nature’s beauty. His oil and pastel paintings, known for their peaceful sensitivity, reflect themes from the land. Leaves, water with reflected skies, grass and stones are found in many of his more abstract oil and pastel paintings. He is featured in Paul Krause’s documentary film, “Genesis: The Art of Creation.”
