SAINT PAUL, MN – Rep. David Bly and experts from the Department of Health and Department of Agriculture will be holding a public meeting on the presence of neonicotinoid pesticides, at neuroactive levels, found in honey. The meetings are a result of a recent study that detected neonicotinoids, at neuroactive amounts, in 75{b5761be34e80a16b6d0e4dabc1869c131a263f96a745c82bebdd3b8a4330bfa9} of 198 honeys collected from producers around the world.
Experts from each state agency will discuss the study and agency plans to test and monitor Minnesota’s honey for pesticide contamination.
