He added there may be other ways down the road for the City to assist the Reppe group. Randy Clay of Imminent Brewing said the group’s initial thought and the reason they went presented their ideas to Council last week was that if the City bought the Armory it would speed up the process, however, they learned last week that it would not. Council voted 4 to 3 to NOT buy the Armory. Pownell, Peterson White and Nakasian were in favor of purchasing it. The building will now go to the County, who will likely turn down the option to buy it, and then it will go on the open market. Yesterday multiple contractors walked through the building to assess the building needs.

Noah Schuchman, one of the candidates for Northfield City Administrator pulled himself out of the process yesterday. That leaves 4 candidates who will be interviewing with Council and staff today and tomorrow. There is a meet and greet with this afternoon at City Hall at 4:45pm. The public is encouraged to stop by and meet the candidates. You’re also invited to attend the full council interviews beginning at 8 tomorrow morning. Dance for a Cause

Get a team together and dance for race and culture education in the Northfield Y’s Child Watch. They’ll have refreshments and drawings for prizes throughout the night.
