Jennifer Wolcott is a visual artist that likes steel and paper and up-cycled materials. She says she works “reflexively, taking what the materials give me, finding new forms in accidents and cast offs.” Her work as a manufacturing engineer gives her an appreciation for collective efforts and elegant processes. Her training as an artist allows her to show the visual strength and beauty of that work. She is known for creating welded steel structures that serve as garden gates, tall grass sculptures, spherical trellises and whimsical decorations and now paper crafts.
Kip O’Krongly is a studio ceramic artist and instructor living in Northfield, MN. Kip has been featured as a Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist, on the cover of Pottery Making Illustrated, and was a Best in Show winner of the Strictly Functional Pottery National Exhibition. She exhibits work and teaches workshops across the country, is included in a number of ceramic publications and in 2014 was the recipient of a $25,000 McKnight Artist Grant.
Wendy Nordquist is a textile artist and seamstress who creates wearable art and hats. Her favored raw materials have already had a useful life elsewhere –natural fibers, handwoven, hand printed, hand sewn, unique. She also hosts Saturday and Sunday mornings on KYMN and her show Fine Tune features eclectic hour of acoustic, Americana, jazz, old-time, roots and world music every Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m.
