KYMN AM 1080 and also now, FM 95.1 once again proves to be Southern Minnesota’s go-to radio station with their mix of News and Information and an eclectic variety of music that is always independently programmed, often featuring live in-studio performances. And, the broadcast schedule includes a great mix of live talent. For the 4th year in a row, Jeff Johnson, owner of KYMN, has
proven he’s got this radio thing down! Johnson has been a voice on KYMN since 1987 and purchased the station in 2008. As a morning show host, he mixes “News with a Side of Sports” with Tim McNiff each weekday morning. Teri Knight is the News Director and brings her own brand of humor into the
mix. From 9am to 11am, a Minnesota Broadcast Hall of Famer and former owner of KYMN, Wayne Eddy, interviews an amazing array of people from all walks of life. Afternoons are filled with “All Wheel Drive” with Jessica Paxton, also a previous SoMinnScene Radio Personality of the Year. Classic shows include “Art Zany” with Paula Granquist, “Fine Tune” with Wendy Nordquist and a newer program on Wednesday evenings for our Latino community called “El Super Barrio Latino” with Marlene Rojas and guests, which was recently profiled in the Star Tribune and the Northfield News. Sports is another important component. Dusty Budd calls the Northfield Raider games while Ned, the Horse Farmer, calls Farmington Tiger games streamed on kymnsports.net.
KYMN strives to listen to the southern Minnesota community and to offer programming that connects, informs and entertains. Tune in AM1080 or listen online at kymnradio.net.
KYMN thanks our listeners for their support. It is much appreciated! And thank you to Southern Minn Scene for the Best Of
