“Be the Solution to Stormwater Pollution”
Join the Cannon River Watershed Partnership and the City of Northfield to raise awareness around stormwater pollution. Submit an original poster supporting the theme “Be the Solution to Stormwater Pollution.” Students and teachers are encouraged to visit our website www.crwp.net to learn more about stormwater pollution and for poster ideas. Support provided by the City of Northfield, Culver’s, and Jesse James Lanes.
Who Can Enter? 2nd – 5th grade students in Northfield
When: All entries must be received by 5:00pm on Tuesday April 30th, 2019
How to enter? Drop off submissions at the Cannon River Watershed Partnership Office: Kevin Strauss, CRWP 710 Division St., Northfield, MN 55057
Or if your classroom teacher is submitting posters, give your poster to your teacher.
∙ Poster size must be 8.5” x 11”
∙ Artwork must be original; must not violate U.S. copyright laws
∙ Each poster must be clearly labeled on the back with the following information:
Student Name, Grade, Teacher’s Name, School Name, Address and phone number
∙ Poster must represent the theme “Be the Solution to Stormwater Pollution “ by including a brief message and/or picture that represents this idea. Image should be large enough to be easily seen and understood. Posters will be judged on originality, artwork, and message delivery.
∙ By submitting artwork, the artist grants CRWP the permission to reproduce and display his/her artwork. Entries will not be returned.
∙ Posters will be displayed at Northfield City Hall
∙ Winning posters and honorable mentions will be displayed on CRWP’s website.
- Winning students will be honored at the May 21st Northfield City Council meeting and be presented with their awards and prizes (one set of prizes for Grades 2-3 and another set for Grades 4-5):
First place: Free custard for a year from Culver’s
Second place: 4 free rounds of bowling at Jesse James Lanes
Third place: 2 free rounds of bowling at Jesse James Lanes
