It’s the Raider girls softball team’s first trip to the State Tournament after beating Winona 5 to 1 in postseason play and earning their first ever 1 AAA Title. We will be broadcasting tournament play, live, beginning at 11am on Thursday at Mankato’s Caswell Park. This game will be streamed as will all the games they’re in.
Bill caps student tuition, increases financial assistance programs, and seeks cost savings for students

PAUL, MN – On a broad bipartisan vote of 62-3, Senator Rich Draheim (R-Madison Lake) joined his Minnesota State Senate colleagues in passing the bipartisanhigher education budgetbill that puts the needs of students and families first by boosting scholarship funds, capping student tuition, and bolstering successful programs that meet workforce needs and lead to future employment. The bill is a component of the final balanced budget agreement reached by the legislature and governor and is the first major budget bill of the 2019 session passed by both the House and Senate. River Bend Nature Center, Faribault, MN is hosting a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer Training beginning June 1st, 2019.
Master Naturalist volunteers complete a 40-hour hands-on course with expert instructors and fellow learners – studying natural history, environmental interpretation, and conservation stewardship. Final certification comes with the completion of 40 hours of volunteer service. The program offers three courses that correspond to Minnesota’s three major ecosystems – entitled ‘Big Woods, Big Rivers’, ‘Prairies and Potholes’, and ‘Northwoods, Great Lakes’.
