The dedication ceremony will begin with the “Flame” sculpture by Nick Swearer at the southwest corner of Highway 3 and 3rd Street, and then move across 3rd Street to the Northfield Depot Sculpture Garden for the dedication of another Nick Swearer sculpture, “Tree”, and a John Maakestad sculpture, “Wind Piece.”
The repair and installation of the Swearer sculptures was made possible by sculptor Nick Swearer and his family, a grant from the Southeast MN Arts Council, Save the Northfield Depot and the City of Northfield. The repair and installation of the Maakestad sculpture was made possible by a donation in memory of Dixon Bond and Save the Northfield Depot.
