“Parenting Your Parents”, July 16, 5:30 p.m., Viking Theater at St. Olaf Campus, Buntrock Commons, 1520 St Olaf Avenue, Northfield
Author, actor and experienced son Jim Comer will provide practical tips on having difficult family conversations, maintaining patience through the process, navigating challenging relationships and planning for everyone’s wellbeing, parents and children alike. In 1996, Comer’s life took a sudden detour when he quit his job and moved back to Texas, after 30 years away, to care for his parents. This life-changing choice led Comer to a rediscovery of family values and the writing of “When Roles Reverse: A Guide to Parenting Your Parents.”
