On Saturday, May 18th, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm, at the Northfield Public Library, Minnesota native Al Smith, a man of extraordinary artistic talent and an exceptional speaker, will share his collection of pencil renderings that chronicle the experiences of American soldiers in the Vietnam War.
A graduate of the Minneapolis School of Art now known as MCAD, Al was inspired to pick up the pencil after a respite of nearly sixty years out of patriotism, and his love and respect for young soldiers who went to war in Vietnam. Al has also created three other remarkable collections including “War Heroes”, “WOW Women of War” and “WW2/icon”
