Frozen gas pumps
Area gas stations have had some of their gas pumps freeze. Ziggy’s on Hwy 3 reports that the gas is fine but if the pumps aren’t being used the mechanics have froze up. They still have 2 open. Council to look at “pre-construction” contracts with NAFRS
The last item on the agenda for the new Northfield Council tonight is a discussion of 3 pre-construction contracts related to the Northfield Fire Facility. NAFRS Chair Glen Castore said these contracts are for surveyors and other people/work they need done this year. That includes drawings, bid packages, and the hiring of Jerry Anderson as the NAFRS Project Representative. Fire Rescue Squad Captain Aramis Wells talks about the upcoming Spaghetti Dinner hosted by NAFRS and the Rescue Squad for Christmas Sharing! New toys and cash donations will be accepted to bring a smile to local kids! Wells says they helped over 800 children last year. The dinner will be held this Saturday (Dec. 10th) from 5pm to 7:30pm at the VFW on Division St. $9 for adults $3 for children or bring a new unwrapped toy worth $20 and 2 adults get in free.
