Leading conservative Yuval Levin will present the weekly Carleton convocation on Friday, Jan. 19. Entitled, “The Fractured Republic,” Levin’s presentation will discuss how the “politics of nostalgia”—with both the Right and the Left looking back to a “better time”—is failing 21st century Americans.

Carleton convocations are held Friday mornings from 10:50 to 11:50 a.m. in the Skinner Memorial Chapel. They are recorded and archived for online viewing.

A leading conservative intellectual and the editor of National Affairs, a quarterly journal of essays on domestic policy and politics, Levin is also the Hertog Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a senior editor of EPPC’s journal The New Atlantis, and a contributing editor to National Review and the Weekly Standard.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, including disability accommodations, call (507) 222-4308. The Skinner Memorial Chapel is located at First and College Streets in Northfield.
