An Evening of Poetry and Norwegian Folk Music
Local poet and musician Andrea Een will present a program of original poetry and Norwegian folk music Thursday April 5 at 7 pm at the Northfield Library. Een, recipient of the St. Olav medal in 2002 for her promotion of greater knowledge of Norwegian culture abroad will play on the Hardanger fiddle and read her poetry. Een has studied the Hardanger fiddle with some of the leading fiddlers in the country. She released her solo CD in 2004, From the Valley. Her poetry has appeared in literary journals, anthologies and the chapbookSome Days We Name It Love. This program is free and open to the public.
