Jim Caswell has been providing a wonderful service to people in the Northfield area for almost 18 years. Once each month, he has stationed himself at the UCC parking lot, his house, or most recently a storage unit north of town. Anyone could drop off their unwanted appliances, tools,
or electronic items. But this spring found Jim in the hospital with a serious foot infection. He only came home last week. Processing scrap materials is his primary source of income. He needs our help. Despite still using crutches, Jim WILL be present this coming Saturday, November 5 from 9AM until noon at Greenvale Mini Storage, 28108 Foliage Ave. As usual, bring items such as computers, radios, phones, tools, scrap metal that you are discarding. Older CRT-based TVs or monitors will be accepted, but there will be a fee of $10 to $40, depending on size.
Starting with this November event, you have an opportunity to thank Jim for his service — both the processing of so-called e-scrap, but also his years of service to our country in Vietnam. You can donate cash or checks toward his basic needs. In addition, at any time, you can make
donations by going to Merchants Bank (formerly First National). Go to any teller and specify that it should be deposited in the James Caswell account
