Senator Tina Smith on broadband bill

Teri Knight speaks with Senator Tina Smith who is introducing a bill on rural broadband.  The Community Connect Grant Program Act of 2018 would authorize the Community Connect Grant Program to deploy and expand broadband networks to unserved rural and tribal communities. In order to close the digital divide, grants through this program would target areas that lack service or are not currently economically feasible to deliver service—like low-income or remote rural areas.
