Rice Co. Sheriff logoMay 6, 2016

Due to the increased winds and low humidity throughout the county, a burn ban is now in effect in Rice  County today at 2:30 PM until further notice. All open burning is restricted at this time, including permit burns. All permit burns will be suspended at this time.

Recreational fires will still be allowed as long as they are in a contained 3 x 3 foot ring or container. We ask that you please use caution if having a recreation fire especially if you are near combustible materials.
