Today’s news update – Multiple shooting UPDATE

Sheriff logoFurther details of the multiple shooting in Webster over the weekend have been released by Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn.  23 year old Heather Nery of Rochester had a gunshot wound to the chest; she was treated at the residence at 4870 Elmore Ave, and flown to HCMC in critical condition.  A vehicle was stopped northeast of home.  Two men 26 year old Anthony Shannon of Robbinsdale and 24 year old Montez Brown of Mpls. were discovered with gunshot wounds, one was airlifted, the other taken by ambulance to metro hospital.  A fourth victim, 45 year old Henry Brown of Brooklyn Park, checked himself into a Burnsville Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower torso, he was then transferred to Regions Hospital.  The initial investigation has revealed three known vehicles with gunshot damage and over 20 spent shell casings.  Sheriff Dunn says Investigators are actively following up on information learned up to this point. His office is again requesting the assistance from attendees of the gathering or anyone from the general public that has information to assist in the investigation, including anyone with audio or video evidence of the altercation or shooting. Please contact our investigators at 507-334- 4391.  The call went out about 3am Saturday of a multiple shooting at a large party at 4870 Elmore Avenue.  Deputies from Rice County, Scott County and Dakota County responded to the area along with officers from Lonsdale, Northfield, New Prague and Faribault Police departments and the Minnesota State Patrol.  Initial information gathered at the scene is that there was a party with a number of young adults. A physical altercation occurred and then gunshots soon followed.  Evidence is scattered over a large area.
