We haven’t begun our build season just yet, but there are several volunteer opportunities with Rice County Habitat over the next few weeks. Painters, movers, meal providers and committee members are all needed. Check out all the ways you can help out below. Thanks for being a part of our organization!

Grab a Paint Roller

We’re looking for about six volunteers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. onMonday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 to paint our offices at Cornerstone Community Church, 1313 Division St., Northfield. Lunch will be provided. Sign up online today!

Help Us Move

We’re moving our operations from Lonsdale to Northfield and need some muscle to get the bulk of our items transported. We’re looking for four volunteers to help load, transport and unload things from 9 a.m. to noon this Thursday, June 23.Sign up if you can help us out!

Join a Habitat Committee

As we move into our new fiscal year, we’re excited to announce a new organizational structure that could involve you! We’ll be establishing five committees – some of which already exist – to help grow our organization stronger and larger. The committees will begin their monthly meetings in July. The committees are:
  • Building Committee
  • Events Committee
  • Family Services Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Fund Development Committee.
We hope you’ll consider getting involved with Rice County Habitat in this new and exciting way! If you’d like more information about a committee or would like to join one, please fill out this Google Form and you will be contacted with more information.

Be a Meal Provider

We’re still gathering contact information for people who are willing to provide a meal for our volunteers on our build sites this summer. Please fill out this Google Form if you are interested in being a meal provider and you will be contacted once our build schedule is complete.
