Community News: Heads up – Flood Watch and Excessive Heat

NPD-Badge-105x150The City of Northfield asks the community to be aware of, and prepared for, a flash flood watch that has been posted for the Northfield area. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch effective 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 19 to Wednesday, July 20 10:00 AM. This Flash Flood Watch includes Rice County and Northfield. The storms will have potential rainfall rates of 2-3 inches per hour with some narrow areas of rainfall up to 7 inches.  For more information on flood and excessive heat:
