Community News: Northfield Emergency Mgmt Team meets

KYMN  just received an update from Northfield Mayor Dana Graham and, while the Cannon River still looks like it will hit 900 feet, they continue to monitor the situation.  With rain in the forecast on Saturday, the City is on full alert and the Council will convene tomorrow morning to have them vote on extending the State of Emergency.  With the soil saturation, more rainfall, even within the next several days, means that the situation remains critical.  Sump pumps are pumping seeping ground water out from local businesses.  At this point, the expect the Cannon to go over the West Wall but not the East side.  Mayor Graham will be in studio sometime tomorrow morning after meeting with the full council.  KYMN will continue to update you.
