15 with the Author | ‘Torn in Two – the sinking of the Daniel J Morrell…’ by Michael Schumacher

On today’s 15 with the Author, Teri Knight talks with Michael Schumacher, author of “Torn in Two, the Sinking of the Daniel J. Morrell and one man’s survival on the open sea”.  It’s a gripping tale of one of the worst shipwrecks in Great Lakes history and of remarkable survival against all odds.  Of 25 men on board only Dennis Hale survived after the 600 foot freighter broke in two during the storm of November 1966.  This is the 4th book Schumacher has written about the Great Lakes and it’s shipping industry.
