News Update:

Nisbit gets 42 years

40 year old Jason Nisbit pled guilty this afternoon in Rice County Court in the death of 26 year old Chelsea Martinez.  Nisbit was indicted by a Grand Jury on First Degree Premeditated Murder.  In a plea agreement he agreed to to 2nd degree intentional murder without premeditation. He also pled guilty to 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, an incident that took place in the jail.  Judge Cajacob sentenced him to 504 months or 42 years.  We’ll have details of what happened in the courtroom, victim impact statements and more starting at 6am.  Rice County Attorney John Fossum will be in studio at 7:20.
