All-Wheel Drive/January 13

Always a treat to feature live musicians — and on today’s show — I had the good fortune of doing so twice!

First up, a fantastic appearance by The OK Factor — Olivia Diercks and Karla Dietmeyer — cellist and violinist — new-classical crossover duo extraordinaire! Wow. I loved having them join me this afternoon — beautiful music and such passionate and insightful artists.  Hear our conversation — and their performance — here. And don’t miss The OK Factor tonight (5:30-7:30) at The Contented Cow. They played:

Liz’s Porch
Up in the Air
Gettin’ Hitched

Then, I shifted gears (no pun intended) and was joined by rockabilly icons Lazy Ike (Lazy Ike & the Daredevils) and Al Subola (Vibro Champs, The Bad Companions) — yee haw! These dudes are the real deal — and a total hoot. They played:

Nashville
Rockpile
One Hit Wonder

The two also appear TONIGHT (8-11 pm) at the Tavern Lounge here in Northfield. Not-to-be-missed (and I suggest you wear your dancing shoes). Catch our session here.

Thanks to everyone for two great in-studio sessions this afternoon!!
