Faribault and Northfield School Districts have cancelled classes for Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 due to predicted inclement weather. The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Rice County, effective from 9 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 25) morning. Additionally, MnDOT is advising no travel tonight and into tomorrow morning across sections of southern Minnesota, due to potentially hazardous road conditions and severely diminished visibility.
