In July 2014, Rice County, The Rice County Chemical Health Coalition, the Healthy Community Initiatives, treatment providers, the District Court, and other community partners began the Rice County Drug Court program. The program is intended to help high-risk high-need offenders who would otherwise go to prison beat their addiction and remain in the community rather than be incarcerated. Continue reading below:
