On April 29th, Northfield High School will hold its prom. Tuxes, flowers, formal gowns, dancing and dining with classmates all make for great memories. It is important to protect those memories by being safe after the prom.
With an eye towards safety, and protecting memories, the parents of the Junior Class and Jesse James Lanes are again hosting an after prom party at Jesse James Lanes. From midnight to 4 a.m., Juniors and Seniors from Northfield High School, Arcadia, and the ALC, along with their pre-approved guests, can enjoy time
with their classmates, bowling, games, prize drawings, food and soft drinks. The party is open to those who do not attend prom, but want to hang out with friends.
Students may arrive between Midnight and 1 a.m. the party is not a lock in, but once students leave they cannot return. Attendees must be present to win the drawings.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that approximately 300 teens die each year in prom night alcohol-related car accidents. Staying off the road and away from alcohol is the best way to avoid becoming a statistic.
After prom parties come highly recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and other advocates for safety. The low cost of $5 makes this party an excellent choice for inexpensive, safe, late night entertainment.
Most adults have fond memories of our prom experiences. Please encourage the current generation of prom goers to have a good experience and protect their memories with a safe after party. The party at Jesse James Lanes is a great way to protect those memories and for all involved to have a safe prom night.
