The annual Maroon and Gold Athletic Reception was held Wednesday night at Northfield High School. Students where honored for their achievements in the realm of athletics. Some of the highlights were the top Senior athlete awards. Picking up honors in team sports were Brynn Puppe and Hunter Koep, while John Vitito and Mya Jirik were tops in individual sports.
Booster club distinguished service award went to Kevin Rogers, a long time supporter of program. KYMN’s Dusty Budd was there to announce the NHS Coach of the Year Award, which went to Boys Hockey coach Mike Luckraft, who led the team to their first ever section championship and state tournament appearance.
