This graph shows scientists’ estimate of where temps have been for the last 12,000 years, based on lots of methods, from lots of different scientist teams. You see us coming out of the last ice age 12,000 yrs ago, warming to about 0.4 deg C above the 1961-1991 average, then slowly cooling into the supposed “little ice age”, then skyrocketing to even higher than this graph shows, to +1.0 deg C above the average. An with just this +1 deg C, we are melting the ice almost everywhere. Clearly, the upward spike is not a natural cycle, but coincides with burning fossil fuels.
