Press Release Reported Assault-Stabbing September 8, 2017

On September 8, 2017 at about 12:15 p.m., Northfield Officers and Northfield Hospital EMS responded to the 1800 block of Kennedy Court for a person who reported being stabbed, at a residence there.

At the scene, Officers discovered an adult female (approximately 40 years of age) who had suffered at least one serious stab wound. She was treated at the scene and the Northfield Hospital before being flown to HCMC for surgery. Her condition is not known at this time.

There is no specific suspect description, or additional incident information currently available. Police are not aware of any danger to the public.

This investigation is open and active with numerous Officers and Investigators involved. No other information is likely to be available for several days.
