Vegetarian Heartland

Vegetarian cooking has undergone a renaissance in the last decade—however, the perception still exists that it’s more difficult in the Midwest where our weather doesn’t always cooperate and that it’s somehow a chore.  Teri Knight’s guest on today’s 15 with the Author, Shelly Westerhausen, tackled those misconceptions in her recipe/adventure book Vegetarian Heartland – Recipes for Life’s Adventures.  Shelly shares mouthwatering recipes and the reason her chapters are labeled for adventures like camping, hiking, road tripping and more!  That’s at 11 o’clock this morning.  She also shares how to cook on an open fire!
