Girls Who Code by Reshma Saujani

Computing skills are the most sought-after in the U.S. job market, yet research shows that the share of women in the computing workforce has declined from 37{b5761be34e80a16b6d0e4dabc1869c131a263f96a745c82bebdd3b8a4330bfa9} in 1995 to just 24{b5761be34e80a16b6d0e4dabc1869c131a263f96a745c82bebdd3b8a4330bfa9} today. In 2012, Reshma Saujani recognized this growing gender disparity and founded the national non-profit organization Girls Who Code, to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. .  she is Teri Knight’s guest today with her book “Girls Who Code – Learn to Code and Change the World”.  The book is for girls ages 7 to 13 and shows them how they can learn to code with the things they love to do.  Find out more at girlswhocode.com
