Dave Legvold talks about farmland buffers and discusses his work with a local college student and the Department of Agriculture on a project to see what happens when you force water through three different regimes: a fruit-bearing buffer, a nut-bearing buffer and a forest buffer. Preliminary results in testing the water from these buffers shows a lower nitrogen content.
